When do your books open?

My books only open for a few months at a time because my life can get pretty hectic and I tend to travel a lot. I don’t have set times to when I will open my books but the best way of checking is to stay tuned to my instagram @Louiseflowerbloom where I will be posting once I am ready to accept clients again.

Do you paint out all your designs?

NO. Please note the CUSTOM tattoos I do for clients will not be presented and emailed out as a painting, it will only be sent out as an outline. Only my flash designs are painted. The reason for this is because sometimes the description of what the client wants can be miscommunicated and if I paint it out, I cannot go back in there to make any changes as I can on an Ipad drawing.
Please note all designs for custom tattoos will be presented as OUTLINE ONLY.

Can I see my drawing?

I send my designs 2 days before the appointment (which most artists dont even do)
1. Its easier to discuss and edit in person, dont worry, we will have plenty of time to work on it together
2. I dont want any miscommunications through emailing.
IE: Can you move this leaf 90 degrees to the right?
This avoids endless back and fourth on emails
3. Sometimes I’ll have a client send it to 10 different people and come back with 10 different opinions

What if I don't like my drawing?

Please do your research in your artist to make sure this is the right style you are looking for.
Please be as clear as you can in your request form on what you are looking for, as many reference photos as you want, best description and I will follow to the best I can.
If it is a lot of edits, we can redraw the design, we may reschedule you but the deposit will be taken for the time spent drawing and for the time.
If we cannot come to an agreement, the project may be turned down.

How does pricing work?

My tattoos are priced by piece.
Pricing is based on: size, placement, color or black and grey, and time required. Once I accept your tattoo request, an approximate quote will be provided and the final price will be decided on the day of, depending on the final size the client decides on.

You are also paying for the efficiency & skill set. I tattoo fairly quickly.
Would you rather pay a lot and be in pain for longer or pay the same amount but go through less pain?

How does the deposit work?

A deposit is collected to secure your appointment date.
The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. (please see next FAQ for why)
The deposit is kept by the artist if the client no-shows on the date without rescheduling 48 hours ahead of time.
The deposit is also kept by the artist if the client decides to change their mind regarding the tattoo design AFTER the artist has put in time and work on the original agreed design.
The deposit is deducted off the final price of the tattoo.

Why is the deposit NON-refundable?

Please do your research thoroughly before selecting your artist to make sure it is the right style you like, they can do what you are looking for and have done similar things.
Tattoos are a financial commitment. If you are not ready for one please take the time to make sure you are.
When I book someone in, it takes time for me to find a time slot that fits the tattoo requested best, it also takes a lot of time to fill the exact time slot as well as doing all the emails and refund.
There has been too many bad experiences of people changing their minds because they were not ready, which is fine but it DOES affect my business. Putting this policy into place helps everyone commit.

Sanitization Questions

All needles used are BRAND NEW and disposable. All equipment used are fully wrapped with disposable bags and are disposed after every client. The station and wrapped equipment are carefully sanitized and wiped down with government requirements. All items used are carefully and monthly checked for expiry dates.

Do you do consultations?

I do not do consultations unless I am stuck on a design, but typically the design requests are all done through emails.

IF one is truly needed, we can facetime. IF you prefer in person, please email and let me know (in addition to your idea, to make sure I can do what you are looking for)
I will not respond to, “I want a tattoo from you but I don’t know what I want”

Do you have a waitlist?

I do not have a waitlist at the moment and unfortunately it’s hard for me to have one due to my frequency in traveling.

I've never had a tattoo before, what is the process?

– when my books are open, i will be posting a link, once you have filled out the link and i have gone through the requests and have selected you, i will be emailing you a quote and a date
– if the date and everything works for you, i will be taking a $75 deposit which will go towards your tattoo
– i then email you the draft of the design 2 days prior to the tattoo
– before coming in, please read the “before your apt” section on my website: http://louiseflowerbloom.com/index.php/before-your-tattoo-appointment/
– when you come in, we can tweak the design together and select the colors together (if any) and we will proceed with the stenciling
– we will not proceed with the tattoo until you are happy with the size and placement of the stencil
– once we are happy, we will start the tattoo, then i will wrap you up and go over aftercare with you, for more info on aftercare please visit: http://louiseflowerbloom.com/index.php/aftercare/

Where do you tattoo out of?

I tattoo out of Growing Pains Tattoos located in Gastown, Vancouver

I need a touch up but you are not in town

Please email me at LouiseFlowerBloom@Gmail.com and you will be put on a touch up waitlist. When I make plans on returning to Vancouver (or the city you are in) I will email and notify you to book an apt with me.

How do your touch ups work?

ONE touch up is included in the prices (within 90 days) however if location is the issue (ie: I was a guest artist) I will honour the one free touch up disregarding the timeline.
IF you miss the touch up appointment without 24 hour notice, a new touch up appointment WILL NOT be rescheduled.

Do you like to talk during your appointments?

I’m easy! Whatever you prefer, if you prefer to not talk and listen to music, you are more than welcome to. If talking makes you less anxious, I’d love to chat! 🙂
