Finger Tattoos

Everything you need to know about getting a finger tattoo with Louiseflowerbloom

What do I need to know about getting a finger tattoo?

Please note that finger tattoos DO tend to fade as we wash our hands often and it is a high traffic area. Touch ups are NOT included for these tattoos – touch ups for the finger tattoos are $50 per session (not per finger).

If you are considering getting a finger tattoo, please consider your occupation:

  • Do you wear gloves and rub your hands often?
  • Do you wash your hands often?
  • Do you work a job that bumps or scratches your hands often?

If yes, please consider carefully as they may not heal solid. Usually after 2-3 touch ups, the ink DOES tend to stay – the thicker the lines/tattoo, the more it holds, the daintier and thinner the lines, the more it fades!

Also keep in mind, the knuckles do not hold well, the side of the hand and the underside of the hand/fingers (palm) do not hold AT ALL (so I do NOT tattoo those areas)

I only tattoo: top of hand, top of fingers, sides of fingers!

Aftercare

I do provide you with Saniderm to wrap over your fingers after the tattoo is done, however, depending on your everyday life:
ie: washing hands, washing your hair, playing with your puppy, cleaning dishes, construction work, usage of tight gloves
The saniderm does tend to fall off pretty easily. For extra protection, you may purchase your own roll of second skin available online at:
https://www.saniderm.com/

Just keep in mind to keep your hands as dry as you can during healing which can take up to 2 weeks.
